We support...
...some amazing charities
Here at WEBPRO, it's really important to us that we give back. There are various charities that we support regularly and throughout the year, as a team, we get involved with as many charity events as we can.
Here are some of the things we have been doing lately...
National Baby Week
Weren't the WEBPRO team a cute bunch?! December 2024 had us raiding the photo albums in honour of National Baby Week and our donation to Little Village.
According the Little Village:
Little Village makes a big difference to families with babies and young children living in poverty across London. Via our network of baby banks we pass on loved goods from one family to another – clothes, toys and equipment – so that many more babies and young children have the essential things they need to thrive.
Families either visit a Little Village hub, or items are packed with care and delivered to their home. But it doesn’t stop there. We also connect families into a wider network of support, helping them to build and extend their own ‘village’. And we raise our voices for change; sharing the stark realities of too many children’s lives in London.
Wear it Pink Day
In November 2024, the WEBPRO team supported Breast Cancer Now's Wear it Pink Day.
As they say:
Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people wear it pink in their communities, schools or work places for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.
We’re on a mission to make sure that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and is supported to live well. By wearing it pink, you can help us get there.
National Eye Health Week
In support of National Eye Health Week, we made a donation to Moorfields Eye Charity in September 2024.
They say:
We believe that people’s sight matters.
That’s why we fund life-changing eye research to deepen our understanding of eye disease and help bring new treatments to patients faster than ever before.
It’s why we invest in innovative education programmes to help train the next generation of eye specialists.
And it’s why we support staff, equipment and new ideas at Moorfields Eye Hospital to help patients across the country access world-class eye care.
Ultimately, everything we do aims to make a difference to the lives of people with sight loss - because we believe that people’s sight matters.
National Opportunity Day
In August 2024, we made a donation to the Prince's Trust in recognition of National Opportunity Day.
According to the Prince's Trust:
Every young person should have the chance to succeed.
At The Prince’s Trust, we believe that every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter their background or the challenges they are facing.
We help young people from disadvantaged communities and those facing the greatest adversity by supporting them to build the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.
National Marine Week
We supported National Marine Week in July 2024 by making a donation to the Marine Conservation Society.
In their own words:
We tackle the ocean emergency by working with communities, businesses and governments.
Today, our ocean is in crisis because of human activity.
A healthy ocean can help protect us all against climate change and it can sustain a diverse array of species, including our own.
From cleaning beaches to shaping government policies, together we can work towards a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean.
One we can all enjoy.
Garden Wildlife Week
In June 2024, we celebrated Garden Wildlife Week by making a donation to the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
They say:
Through our campaigns, advocacy and educational projects we work to raise awareness of the practical steps we can take to help reverse the decline of hedgehogs in the wild, improve their welfare and safeguard the future of this much-loved animal. We also fund research that provides important new insights into the conservation and welfare of hedgehogs.
Know a charity that should be on our list? We'd love to hear about it!
