Your questions answered

What is a template website?

A template website is a website that is created using a design and structure that is pre-defined. That means that the design and structure of the website is already set but you will have the ability to change minor things like logo, images, etc. Template websites are created once and then sold multiple times to different clients.

What are the benefits of a template website?

Because the main structure of a template website is already there, they are much quicker to build than a bespoke website. They are also far cheaper. This is a huge benefit for a lot of businesses just starting out or for those that do not require something fully bespoke.

How do WEBPRO templates differ from those offered elsewhere?

At WEBPRO, we call our template website offering semi-bespoke because we feel they are a lot more cusomisable than a lot of other template websites on the market. We don't just 're-badge' our websites by adding your logo, we look at colour schemes throughout the whole website to match your brand, we customise different areas to reflect your business and we choose images that represent your brand. A lot of the time, it's not hugely obvious that two websites are even using the same design!

Another key area we differ from some other template website suppliers is that we take care of the build of the website, all you need to do is talk to us about your requirements and supply some key things like your logo. Some other suppliers leave you to build your website yourself and you can run into problems if you don't have the time and expertise.

How do I decide which template level to go with?

We have three levels - bronze, silver and gold - each with different levels of functionality. Which one is right for you is going to depend on your business goals, short, medium and long-term. Our team are always more than happy to talk you through each level in relation to what you are looking to achieve and advise on the best solution.

When it comes to which design to go with once you've decided on the right level, that's down to personal preference!

Can I customise a template website?

A template website can be customised to a certain degree - logos, colours, images and text can all be customised as part of a standard website build. However, anything outside of this would likely come under a 'structural change'. These changes are still possible but not within the standard build. When we are presented with a request for this type of change, we discuss the requirement with you, propose a solution and then a quotation for the additional work required. You are then able to decide whether that is something you would like to go ahead with or not.

What is the process for creating a template website?

Once you have placed your order, you will be booked in for an onboarding meeting where you will meet the developer who will be building your new website. They will take you through the process, talk to you about your requirements and answer any questions you have, as well as let you know what they need from you. Your developer will then create a draft of your new website and send it over for feedback. There is usually then a bit of back and forth with your developer until you are completely happy with your new website and ready to make it live.
