The importance of a long-term plan

Getting any business started can be challenging, especially when you’re in the competitive financial advice sector. To launch successfully, you need to focus on what you do well and leave the rest to people who know what they are doing, as Blackstone Wealth did with their new website.

We sat down with Anwar Hussain, the managing director of Blackstone Wealth and asked him about his experience with us and how he felt we could improve.

Who are Blackstone Wealth?

Blackstone Wealth is a young business which started trading in 2022. Anwar has over a decade of experience within the industry.

The business specialises in financial planning, including Shariah-compliant solutions. They provide independent advice on mortgages, pensions, taxation and protection.

Blackstone Wealth works on the same basis as WEBPRO, they offer a personalised service.

The initial approach

Anwar told us that he first heard of WEBPRO through a friend who was considering using our services. This led to him Googling us to confirm our reputation and the service we offer.

In short, he did his due diligence and we passed.

Choosing WEBPRO

Naturally, Anwar looked at several businesses offering websites, specifically templates. He aimed to get something off the ground fast, something which would boost his profile and start attracting visitors without costing a fortune. After all, he was just starting up.

Anwar didn’t like the templates offered by our competitors. He chose WEBPRO because he felt our templates were superior to the others he has looked at and we offered our services at a competitive price.

The service he received from the start gave Anwar confidence in his decision. He says about the initial consultation:

“It was really good, perhaps an hour long. We discussed different layouts and you were happy to make some tweaks for me.”

Development of the site

Anwar states:

“It wasn’t a smooth journey but the communication was excellent.”

His lesson to us is that the process took longer than expected. While the communication was excellent, there was some back and forth to turn his vision into a website. As Anwar admits, the small details bug him but the result is a website he is happy with and he says of Nicoleta:

“She was amazing throughout the entire process.”

Longer-term

Anwar took the silver level template website as he felt this was the best one to get him started quickly and cost-effectively. However, this was always a short-term approach.

As he says:

“Happy with it now, it serves a purpose. I would prefer a different look and style to it, but probably need to build from the ground up as I’ve not seen a template like my vision.”

In the not-too-distant future, it is likely we will discuss bespoke website options with Anwar where he can have a truly unique website built from the ground up, exactly as he envisions.
